Gear up, Get up and Go...
I walked the 2017 Turkey Trot and decided that I’d hike Mt. Whitney this year. I walked 3 miles the next day. The ‘Coach’ next door said ‘if you can walk 3 you can walk 6’. OK, I did, and then 9 and then 12 miles a day. I dropped from 247 lbs to 200 quickly. I walked all of the local trails and built my endurance. The goal was made, the equipment was purchased, the thousands of miles in training was completed.
